A month page is evergreen: it describes what every June looks like on the international calendar, then lists the dated events of the next June with their status.
01Where the season is concentrated
June is the month the European summer season is built from. It opens with the Monaco Grand Prix on the first weekend — moved from May in 2026 — and runs through the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Royal Ascot's five days in the third week, Art Basel in Basel the same week, the Cartier Queen's Cup polo at Windsor, the Queen's Club tennis, the Epsom Derby and Trooping the Colour in London, the Roland-Garros finals and the men's fashion week in Paris, the Rolex Giraglia from Saint-Tropez and the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta at Porto Cervo. Wimbledon opens in the last days. The U.S. Open golf and, in Colorado, the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen and the Aspen Ideas Festival give the United States its June.
London is the destination of the month by any measure: Chelsea has just closed, Ascot, Queen's, the Derby, the Queen's Cup, the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and Glyndebourne's season are all in play, and Wimbledon begins. Basel matters for five days and Monaco for four.

04Important destinations
London above all. Monaco for the Grand Prix; Le Mans for its weekend; Basel for the fair; Paris for the tennis and the men's shows; Saint-Tropez and Porto Cervo for the first regattas; Aspen for its food and ideas fortnight. Chantilly, Windsor and Epsom are day trips from London that carry their own crowds.
05Geographic movement
From the Riviera north: Monaco on the first weekend, then London and Basel in the third week, then London again for Wimbledon. Paris is a constant. The yachts that raced in Saint-Tropez in the middle of the month are in Porto Cervo or on their way to the Balearics by the end of it.
06Weather
Long days everywhere. London can be wet — Ascot has raced in downpours and Wimbledon carries rain delays as a tradition — but June is statistically its driest early-summer month. Monaco and the Riviera are warm and settled. Basel is warm; Le Mans can be hot in the afternoon and cold at 4 a.m.
07The most important weekends
The third weekend of June, when Royal Ascot's Saturday, Art Basel's closing days, the U.S. Open golf and the Cartier Queen's Cup final have all fallen on the same days in recent years, is the single densest weekend of the European calendar. The first weekend (Monaco) and the Le Mans weekend that follows are the other two.
08Where the season moves next
July: Wimbledon's second week, Henley, the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the British Grand Prix, the Open Championship, the Cowdray Gold Cup, Glorious Goodwood at the end of the month, Paris couture, and the Mediterranean proper — Venice's Redentore, the Palio, Ravello, Salzburg.
