Formula 1 supplies the motorsport calendar's social fixtures — Monaco above all, then Miami, Singapore, Las Vegas and Abu Dhabi, the street and night races built for a weekend as much as a race — and endurance and historic racing supply the rest: the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June, Goodwood's Festival of Speed in July and Revival in September, the Monaco Historic Grand Prix in even years. The FIA publishes the Formula 1 calendar the previous autumn, which makes this the most predictable circuit of all.

A Grand Prix weekend runs Thursday to Sunday and takes over its city: Monaco's harbour fills with yachts a week early, Singapore's Marina Bay closes to traffic, Las Vegas turns the Strip into a circuit. Tickets and the Paddock Club are sold by the promoter and by Formula 1; the social programme around them is what the destination pages describe.
