SuperReturn International is the private capital industry's principal annual gathering, run by Informa Connect at the InterContinental Berlin each June. Two days of specialist summits open the week — private debt, secondaries, mid-market, energy transition, artificial intelligence and private wealth each get their own room — and three main conference days follow, built around macroeconomic keynotes, fundraising panels and closed sessions under the Chatham House rule.
The organiser's published figures are large and specific: more than 7,000 attendees from over 80 countries, upwards of 2,500 limited partners, more than 3,000 general partners and more than 170,000 meetings booked through its matchmaking platform. Those numbers are the organiser's own, but they describe the week accurately in kind.
01Pourquoi c'est important
For anyone raising or allocating institutional capital in Europe, this is the fixed point of the year. General partners time fund launches to it, placement agents build their calendars around it, and limited partners use it to compress a year of manager meetings into four days.
02La semaine environnante
Berlin absorbs 7,000 delegates without visible disruption, and the effect is confined to a few streets. The InterContinental sits on Budapester Strasse at the edge of the Tiergarten, and the hotels around it, Wittenbergplatz and Kurfurstendamm fill with the same delegates.

Arrive Sunday evening for the summits, or Tuesday evening if only the main conference matters.

The useful area is City West: Budapester Strasse and the streets around the Tiergarten's southern edge, Wittenbergplatz and Kurfurstendamm, all within a walk of the venue, with the Waldorf Astoria tower as the obvious landmark.

This is a commercial conference and passes are sold openly, with tiered rates by delegate type and early-booking discounts. Limited partners are handled on a separate registration route with their own programme and, in the industry's usual arrangement, favourable terms.

The SuperReturn series was built by the London conference house ICBI and passed to Informa, which now runs regional editions in Asia, North America, the Middle East and Africa.
