The Palm Beach Show takes the county convention center in West Palm Beach for six days in the middle of February, over the Presidents' Day weekend, at the height of the Florida season. It covers the full decorative and applied range: fine art, estate and period jewelry, silver, porcelain, furniture, design and antiquities, from the ancient world through the twentieth century, with dealers drawn from across the United States and Europe. Jewelry is the show's centre of gravity and the thing it does better than any comparable American event, which gives it an audience quite different from the contemporary fairs three months earlier in Miami: buyers here are furnishing houses and building jewelry collections, and a good deal of the trade is between dealers.

01Por qué es relevante

Palm Beach in February holds one of the densest concentrations of second-home collectors anywhere in the United States, and this show is the fixture that serves them. It is a regional event by design; almost nobody flies from Europe for it, and almost everybody who winters between Jupiter and Boca Raton knows the dates.

Our reading is that it should be understood as part of the Palm Beach season rather than the art calendar. It sits alongside the equestrian season in Wellington, the polo, the benefit season and the boat show, and its function within that week is social as much as commercial.

02La semana en torno al evento

Mid-February is the busiest fortnight of the Palm Beach season and the show is one of several things happening. Wellington, twenty-five minutes west, is in the middle of the Winter Equestrian Festival and the polo season, both of which draw the same audience, and the benefit season is at its peak on the island. The Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach and the Flagler Museum in the Whitehall mansion are the two institutions worth a morning, and the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens are a short walk from the convention center. Worth Avenue and the Royal Poinciana Plaza hold the island's shopping and galleries; Clematis Street, Rosemary Square and Northwood hold most of the mainland's restaurants.

03Cuándo llegar

Thursday, for the opening evening, is the show's social moment. Friday and Saturday are the busiest trading days and the weekend brings the largest general attendance; Monday and Tuesday are quiet and better for looking and negotiating. The show takes two to three hours; build the rest of the visit around Wellington, the Norton and the island.

04Dónde alojarse

The island of Palm Beach is the most expensive and most convenient for Worth Avenue and the ocean, with the Breakers and the Colony as the landmark addresses. West Palm Beach, around Rosemary Square and the waterfront, puts the convention center within walking distance and costs a fraction as much. Delray Beach and Boca Raton to the south and Jupiter to the north are quieter and thirty to forty-five minutes away.

05Acceso y hospitalidad

The show sells tickets for the public days at the convention center and through its own website, and an opening-night preview precedes the run; the organizer publishes the preview arrangements, any beneficiary and current prices each year, and none of those are reproduced here because they were not verified for this record. Multi-day and season passes have been offered in past years. The Norton Museum of Art, the Flagler Museum and the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens charge their own separate admission, and the Norton publishes free-admission hours.

06Dónde tiene lugar la actividad social

The convention center sits between Rosemary Square and the waterfront in West Palm Beach, so the show's crowd disperses within a few minutes' walk. Clematis Street and Rosemary Square hold the restaurants and bars closest to the hall, and the Flagler Drive waterfront and its Saturday greenmarket are directly east. Across the bridges, Worth Avenue and the Royal Poinciana Plaza carry the island's daytime life and the hotel terraces along South County Road the evening. Everything requires a car.

07Cómo llegar

Aviación comercialPalm Beach International (PBI) is five minutes from the convention center and ten from the island, which makes it the most convenient airport of any event in this batch. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood (FLL) is 50 minutes south and Miami International about 80 minutes.
FerroviarioBrightline's West Palm Beach station is beside Rosemary Square and a short walk from the convention center, with services to Fort Lauderdale, Aventura, Miami and Orlando. Tri-Rail serves the region's commuter corridor from a station further west.
AutomóvilInterstate 95 and Florida's Turnpike run north-south through the county, and Okeechobee Boulevard connects the convention center to the Royal Park and Southern Boulevard bridges onto the island. A car is effectively necessary for Wellington and for anything outside the immediate downtown; the bridges congest at peak hours.
Aviación privadaPalm Beach International has substantial business aviation handling, and Boca Raton, North Palm Beach County and Lantana take smaller aircraft and the overflow. February is the busiest period of the year for private movements into Palm Beach and parking is contracted well ahead.
HelicópteroCharter helicopter transfers operate between Palm Beach, Miami and the Bahamas; several county sites are licensed, and the practice is more common in the winter season than at any other time.
MarinasThe Palm Harbor Marina on Flagler Drive is a few minutes from the convention center and takes large visiting yachts, with Rybovich further north handling the largest vessels and refits. Berths in February are contracted long in advance.

08Aspectos prácticos

VestimentaPalm Beach season dress: colour, linen and blazers during the day, and rather more of both in the evening than the rest of the country would consider normal. The opening evening is the dressiest part of the run without being formal. The convention center is heavily air-conditioned, so a layer is useful.
ClimaMid-February is the best of the Palm Beach year: daytime highs typically around twenty-four to twenty-six Celsius, nights in the mid-teens, low humidity and little rain, with occasional cold fronts dropping evening temperatures. This is precisely why the season exists. Description is qualitative; no station normals were sourced.
Cómo desplazarseThe convention center is walkable from the Brightline station and Rosemary Square, and Palm Beach International is five minutes away, so the immediate logistics are easy. Everything else needs a car: the Intracoastal bridges to the island back up at peak hours and Wellington is twenty-five to forty minutes west depending on traffic. Ride-hailing is reliable across the county.
HotelesFebruary is the peak of the Florida season and Palm Beach County rates are at their annual high whether or not the show is on. Island hotels are booked months ahead and often carry minimum-stay requirements over Presidents' Day weekend. West Palm Beach, Delray and Boca Raton are materially cheaper and hold availability longer.
RestaurantesIsland restaurants over Presidents' Day weekend are among the hardest reservations in Florida and are taken weeks ahead; several do not accept walk-ins at all in season. Clematis Street and Rosemary Square in West Palm Beach are easier and closer to the show. Book anything on the island as soon as the trip is fixed.
Momento de la reservaHotels three to six months ahead for the island, four to six weeks for the mainland. Island restaurants three to four weeks. Show tickets are sold online and at the door.
EntradasDay tickets and multi-day passes for the six-day run are sold at the Palm Beach County Convention Center and through the show's website. Prices, opening hours and the opening-night preview arrangements are published by the organizer each year and are not reproduced here because they were not verified for this record. The Norton Museum of Art publishes free-admission hours and the Flagler Museum and Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens charge separate admission.
HospitalidadThe show opens with a preview evening, which the organizer has run as a benefit in past years; the beneficiary and access arrangements are published each edition and were not verified for this record. There is no significant corporate hospitality programme. Most of the invitation-based activity in Palm Beach that week belongs to the benefit season, to the equestrian venues in Wellington and to private clubs rather than to the show.

09Historia

The show was founded in the mid-2000s by the Palm Beach Show Group, which runs a set of winter and spring art, antique and jewelry shows in Florida and elsewhere, and reached its twenty-third annual edition in 2026. It grew as Palm Beach's winter population expanded and as the county convention center, opened in 2003 on the West Palm Beach waterfront, gave the region a hall large enough. Its jewelry emphasis has strengthened over time as general antiques markets in the United States contracted.

10Quién está ahí

Palm Beach and South Florida winter residents in the greatest numbers, together with East Coast collectors down for the season; estate and period jewelry buyers, who are the show's core audience; interior designers and decorators working on Florida houses; the American antiques and silver trade, a substantial part of whose business here is dealer to dealer; and a general county public across the weekend.
