Three days of five-star show jumping in a temporary arena on the Champ de Mars, directly under the Eiffel Tower.
An event page tells you when it happens (with how sure we are of the date), why it matters, how the week around it feels, when to arrive and leave, where people stay, how access works, and which events come before and after it on the circuit.
The Champ de Mars is a public park, and for three days in June a section of it becomes a sand arena with the Eiffel Tower standing over the finish. Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping is the French capital's stage of the Longines Global Champions Tour, a CSI five-star fixture drawing the sport's top-ranked riders, with the Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon.
The arena is enclosed and ticketed; the rest of the park stays open, and a substantial crowd watches the atmosphere from outside the fencing without a ticket.
01Why it matters
Paris gives the Global Champions Tour its most photographed stage and gives Parisians a major sporting fixture in the 7th arrondissement. In our reading its significance is more to the sport than to the calendar: it put show jumping in front of a general international audience.
02The week around it
Late June is the fullest stretch of the Paris summer before the city empties in August. The Fête de la Musique falls on 21 June and fills every quarter with free street performance, and the men's fashion shows run in the same fortnight.
03When to arrive
Come Friday and stay through Sunday; the Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon is the event, and Paris rewards leaving Monday.
04Where to stay
The 7th arrondissement, around the Rue Cler and the Invalides, is a short walk from the arena but has limited hotel stock, so most visitors stay central and take the Métro.
05Access and hospitality
Tickets are sold through the Global Champions ticketing platform, with day admission and hospitality packages along the arena; the stands are modest and Sunday is the constrained session.
06Where the social activity happens
The arena-side hospitality terraces and the brand village; the lawns of the Champ de Mars immediately outside; and the restaurants of the Rue Saint-Dominique and the Rue Cler.

09History
The show was founded in 2014 on the Champ de Mars, taking its name from the tower and from the family association behind its creation, and joined the tour as the French capital's five-star stage. Its placement has been adjusted when the Champ de Mars was required for larger occasions, including the 2024 Olympic Games.
10Who is there
The international show jumping community and the Global Champions League team ownership; Longines and the tour's partner brands; the French equestrian public; and a substantial general audience drawn by the location.
