ポロ

Polo's calendar follows the grass: the Florida high-goal season at Wellington from January to April, climaxing in the U.S. Open Polo Championship; the English season from May to July, with the Cartier Queen's Cup at Guards Polo Club in Windsor Great Park and the Gold Cup at Cowdray Park as its two great finals; the Alpine summer tournament at Gstaad in August; and the Snow Polo World Cup on the frozen lake at St. Moritz in late January, the one polo weekend that is also a winter spectacle. The Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in New Jersey is a single June afternoon.

Finals are ticketed and open to the public; the enclosures and marquees are where the sponsors entertain. Dress codes are published by each club.
